Editorial
Dear colleagues,
Dear readers,
You have opened the first issue of the 107th volume of the journal “Sborník lékařský” and the third volume of the renamed journal “Prague Medical Report”.
The journal passed through the beginning problems during the last two years. The processes of the editorial and managing work are now stable and well organised.
Principal mission of the Faculty as Publisher and of the Editorial board for the forthcoming future will be to anchor Prague Medical Report in the family of prestigious national and international scientific journals. Our journal is already listed in the European journal database Scopus together with more than 12 000 journals. Our vision is to hand impact factor back to our journal. This aim is not easy but we suppose that it will be realistic during following years.
The journal will be focussed on different topics in biomedical research from the basic science to clinical research. Additionally, we decided to attract our journal to young scientists. Annually the best original article written by the main autor younger than 35 years will be awarded with financial support. Prague Medical Report should be also the forum for postgraduate students and their theses.
I wish you and our journal Prague Medical Report successful year 2006.
